Rev. Dr. Ruth
Ragovin Rev. Dr. Ruth Ragovin moved to Murray in February of 2009 to serve as senior minister at First Christian Church. She has previously ministered in California and in Tennessee. She received her B.A. in religious studies and health studies from the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario. Following a year of graduate studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany, she enrolled at Drew University where she received both her Masters and her Ph.D. in theological and religious studies. In addition to pastoral ministry, she also is a trained spiritual director, and has a number of scholarly publications. She is married to Russell Ragovin, also a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister, and has one daughter, Rachel, who is in college.
Tom Seipel, Jr.
Tom Seipel, Jr. has been the Youth Minister at First Christian Church for two years. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Sociology. He started ministering to children in 1999 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. He has led many youth groups, children groups, Bible studies, directed numerous plays, musicals, camps, and children's choirs. He is also the worship leader and plays bass at the Celebration Service on Sunday mornings. Tom is looking forward to starting Seminary in the fall of 2010 and is hoping to attend Lexington Theological Seminary. He feels God is calling him to become a Pastor and lead a church using his passion and love for Christ.
Mark Dycus Mark Dycus joined the staff of FCC Murray in August, 1999. He is a native of Paducah and received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Murray State University. He earned a Master's Degree in Church Music from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and spent fifteen years in full-time church music at churches in Georgia, West Virginia, and Ohio. In the summer of 1995 Mark and his family moved to Murray where he assumed the position of director of choral activities at Calloway County High School, a position he still holds. In addition to music, Mark enjoys fishing, weight training, and cooking.

Margaret Heath Administrative Assistant Margaret is a Graves County native. She took an early retirement from USEC as an Administrative Assistant. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Murray State University in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. She has two married daughters and three grandchildren of whom she is very proud. She enjoys dancing, gardening, and various genres of music. Aimee Bailey |
