A Letter from Melanie

Our Church Sponsored Child

On June 20. 2024, we were lucky enough to have the talented children’s Imani Milele Choir perform at our church. I, like many of you, was very inspired and moved by these wonderful young peoples’ song, dance, and story. When they started asking for sponsors for the children on the bulletin boards, I really wanted to help a child. I knew that there was still some money leftover in a previous child sponsorship account and I asked some other church members about my idea. All of the ones that I asked thought it was a great idea. Most of us couldn’t afford to do a $35 a month by ourselves, but together as a church

we could sponsor a child.

So, I want you to meet Trinity Kirabo.

Trinity has sent me a letter and a new picture.

What can we do for Trinity?

I. Pray for Trinity.

II. How to communicate/stay in touch with Trinity:

A) Write your letter in an email. Put “Letter for Trinity Kirabo” in the subject line.

Since our whole congregation is sponsoring Trinity, that would be many different emails that they might not recognize, might think we're scamers. So please send your email (pictures can be attached) to me at melanie.dawson65@gmail.com and I will send them to Trinity.

B) Mail a letter to our office in Sebastian and we will email it to her.

Imani Milele Children Inc.

10205 US Highway 1

Sebastian, FL 32958

C) You can mail a letter to:

Imani Milele Children

P.O. Box 3940

Kampala, Uganda

(Please do not put any form of payment in the letter to your child and do not put your child’s name on the outside of the envelope. Do not put your name and address on the outside of the envelope.)

III. Monetary Sponsorship:

Currently our sponsorship is $35 a month. If you would like to help sponsor Trinity, put “child sponsorship” in the memo line of your check or on the envelope with your cash. Any dollar amount is appreciated.

 April 2025 – Easter

Before Easter, I sent an email to Trinity and some pictures of our decorated Easter cross:

"Hi Trinity,

I hope you had a wonderful Easter!!!!

We have a tradition at my church of decorating an outside wooden cross with

beautiful flowers the Saturday morning before Easter. I have been helping with that since I was young. I am sending you two pictures of this year's decorated Easter cross and the group who helped decorate it this year.

Just remember, whenever you are having a bad day, are scared, are upset, or feel lonely, God is always with you. Jesus was willing to die for the forgiveness of our sins and then he arose. The wonderful gift of Easter. He loves us, gives us grace, listens to our prayers, and gives us eternal life (Heaven) even though we are not perfect and really don't deserve any of it. What a wonderful gift from God. Happy Easter! I hope you have a wonderful week.

I love you too. God bless you and your family.

Hugs and prayers,

Melanie Dawson"

-You can send Care Packs (one gallon size bag per child). These care packages are

collected at the Florida office until they have a mission team traveling to Uganda.

We sent one and will have to wait until we hear about it in a letter from Trinity.

May be there will be a mission trip this summer.
