Summer Lunch and Literacy Program
We are actively and prayerfully asking for help for our Summer Lunch and Literacy program. Any donation will make a difference. We have a need for 600 kids!
$10 feeds a meal to a family of four
$100 feeds a kid all summer
We also hope to have corporate sponsors of 10 kids for $1,000. (deadline to be on shirt May 15th)
We need books age 0-18,
volunteers to pack on Fridays at 9am May 30th - July, North Calloway Elementary
drivers to deliver.

Soup for the Soul is planning to feed 600 children (and their families) a total of 5 meals each week, for 9 weeks this summer. They deliver a bag/box for the family unit for a week. Besides monetary donations they need canned food.
Nora told me in an email that they need 12,000 vegetables, 6000 chicken & tuna, raviolis.
The month of May is the big FOOD DRIVE. From now until May 20th, First Christian Church is collecting as many canned chicken, canned tuna, canned veggies, and canned ravioli as we can. That is about 3 ½ weeks.
There will be a container at the back of the church for you to put your items and a table downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
If you want to give a monetary donation through the church, write the check to First Christian Church and put Soul for the Soul in the memo line.
Then we will send them a check from the church.
